Paragliding in Fethiye Ölüdeniz
Paragliding is one of the most favoured activities for those experiencing extreme sports for the first time. The sport offers the neophyte an opportunity to observe the landscape from a unique perspective: by gliding peacefully in the sky while experiencing a dose of adrenaline to the fullest. If you love to climb and fly and you have not tried this sport yet, you are in the right place to enjoy the buzz you’ll get from our wonderful landscapes.
The most popular spot for paragliding in Türkiye by far is the Ölüdeniz-Fethiye area. Along the Turquoise coast, there are many places from Mount Ida to Fethiye which are suitable for different extreme sports. When it comes to paragliding, we can confidently recommend the most popular holiday destination in this region — Babadağ. In Babadağ, you will be enchanted by stunning views of Ölüdeniz. The most apt activity for those who want to see these sights from the vantage point of the local hawks and eagles is, of course, paragliding. Add excitement to your holiday! Consider adding a paragliding experience to your list of things to do in Ölüdeniz (while staying in Ölüdeniz hotels, of course).
How is it done?
There is no need for a special track or aircraft for paragliding. At first, paragliding, a wind-driven sport, must be prepared with an instructor. After your training, you can make your debut flight(s) with your instructor and enjoy gliding in the sky. Ensure that you can move comfortably and enjoy this excitement more by remembering to wear loose clothing on the day of your flight.
Skydiving in İzmir Selçuk
Skydiving, also known as tandem diving or free fall, is a type of sport in which the participant is taken to a drop-off point by aircraft, jumps out, and descends to earth with the assistance of a parachute. The İzmir-Ephesus vicinity is an excellent route for this activity. AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) training is currently offered only in İzmir. Tandem jump options are of course available for beginners. It is essential that one travels to the jump centre at Efes Airport before the free fall, meets with the instructors, and prepares with an instructional, pre-flight training class. After your jump, it is also quite entertaining to stay for a while and watch the colourful parachutes from below. The action you will experience during the free fall is complemented with a wonderful view. It will be a different experience entirely — just imagine flying around the ancient city of Ephesus during a jump that makes you feel like you are inside a Google Maps image!
How is it done?
After a short introductory film in the jump centre, the instructors will give you all the necessary information for your jump. Each participant is provided with a jumpsuit consisting of specialty overalls, which you will don before jumping. After boarding the aircraft. you and your fellow adventurers will be flown to the requisite altitude of 4,000 meters. “Free fall” describes the time spent between exiting the plane and opening the parachute, and is only done alongside the instructor. The fall takes place at a speed of about 200 km per hour and lasts around one minute until a supervised, controlled landing.

If you want to fly high but are not ready for a free fall, one of the best alternatives you could hope for is bungee jumping. The most frequently visited point of this adventure sport, which can be done in different parts of Turkey, is Aya Yorgi Bay. From height of 60 meters, you can survey the region’s natural beauty with a bird’s eye view. Why not use this opportunity to jump into the void as well? After performing this first feat of daring, tied to a rope, you will surely find the courage to try similar sports. While enjoying the blues of Aya Yorgi Bay, the thrill of seeing this exquisite view from above is a singular experience!
In the wonderful summer atmosphere of Çeşme, don’t miss out on exciting activities, with the peace of mind that comes from booking an Odamax holiday and the opportunity to stay in Çeşme hotels!
